Is there a recipe to use with the Gummy Candy Mixer or do you have to use the pre made gummy mixes with the machine?

Hey hey! We recommend using our LEVO Gummy Mixes with the Gummy Candy Mixer, but you can totally experiment with your own gelatin or flavors. You should join us in the LEVO Love Club on Facebook for this. We have over 22,000 members who would be happy to share their tips for making the perfect gummies!

Can we use the levo gummy mixer here?

LEVO Oil Infusion, Inc. replied:
The directions will be a bit different for the Gummy Candy Mixer. I’ll list them below.

1. Pre-mix 1 bag of LEVO Gummy Mix with 6 tbsp of water until you reach a paste-like consistency. 2. Run cycle 1. 3. Add 3-4 tablespoons of infused oil. 4. Run cycle 2 until the oil is fully incorporated. 5. Pour into your molds and allow to set in the refrigerator.

I hope that this helps!

If my gummy mix won’t set properly, where have I gone wrong
———
LEVO Oil Infusion, Inc. replied:
If your gummy mix isn’t setting properly, it could be due to a few reasons. Here are some tips to troubleshoot:

1. Emulsification: Make sure your mixture is fully emulsified. If it’s not, the gummies might not set correctly. You can try melting them back down and stirring a bit longer, or re-running cycle 2 if you’re using our Gummy Candy Mixer. 2. Refrigeration: Ensure that the molds are placed in the refrigerator for a sufficient amount of time. Sometimes, leaving them in the fridge for a longer period can help the gummies set better. 3. Stirring: Stirring is crucial. If you notice the oil separating from the gummy mix, it means you need to stir more. Conversely, if you see foaming, you might be over-stirring. 4. Temperature: Make sure you’re using the correct temperature settings. The Gummy Candy Mixer uses precise temperature and time settings, which can help take the guesswork out of candy making.

Have you added citric acid to the gelatin mix? I know that a lot of people will toss the set gummies in citric acid to give them a sour bite. But we love gummies that are sour inside and out. Do you think that adding the citric acid to the gelatin mixture will interfere with how the gummies set?
———
LEVO Oil Infusion, Inc. replied:
Adding citric acid directly to the gelatin mixture can definitely give your gummies that sour kick inside and out! However, it might slightly affect how the gummies set. Citric acid can sometimes make the gelatin a bit softer, but it shouldn’t prevent them from setting entirely.

If you want to experiment, start with a small batch and add a little citric acid to the gelatin mixture. You can always adjust the amount based on the texture and sourness you prefer. And don’t forget to store your gummies in an air-tight container to keep them fresh!

can i add flavoring to the water or even sub a juice for the water to add flavor?
———
LEVO Oil Infusion, Inc. replied:
Absolutely! You can definitely swap out the water for juice to add extra sweetness and flavor to your gummies. Just make sure to use 100% juice and avoid citrus juices, as they don’t work especially well with gummy recipes. Adding juice will help mask any herb-flavor and give your gummies a delightful twist. 🍓🍑
