Have you ever wondered how to make fedible gummies? We love making our own infused edible gummies. The sweet and tangy bears can be enjoyed in many different flavors and their small size makes them a great option for controlling dosage—whether that be your sugar intake or medicinally. Either way, this yummy treat will keep you coming back for more!
Or if you're looking for an even simpler way to make gummies at home, shop our Gummy Mix Kit, which comes with Cherry, Peach, and Raspberry flavored mixes. Just add infused oil and water!
Key Takeaways
Essential tools and ingredients include water, infused coconut oil, lecithin, unflavored and flavored gelatin.
To infuse the coconut oil we recommend using an infusing machine like the LEVO.
Follow the detailed recipe for step-by-step instructions on mixing, setting, and finalizing your homemade gummies.
The process allows for customization in flavor, shape, and dosage, catering to both recreational and medicinal needs.

Follow the #LEVOmade recipe for infused gummies below.
Follow the Basic LEVO Coconut Oil Infusion recipe to get a head start by using your LEVO machine to infuse cannabinoid rich flower with coconut oil.
This recipe requires 1/4 cup of the infused coconut oil.
Instructions
Before beginning, prep your work space and your gummy molds. Set your gummy molds on a cookie sheet (for sturdy transport) and spray them with a non-stick cooking spray. I used coconut oil spray, which will harden & absorb (and not leave a wet & oily coating over the gummies like canola oil spray did). I also combined the 4 gelatin packets into a small bowl and opened the flavored gelatin ahead of time and set them near the stove for quicker and easier mixing. Set your syringes/dispensers and whisk within reach, too.
In a small saucepan, bring the water, infused coconut oil, and lecithin to medium heat and whisk together until fully combined (see photo below). Once the mixture starts to bubble, increase to medium-high heat for a rolling boil. Slowly add in the unflavored gelatin while continuously whisking at the same time. Do not stop whisking!!! Once the unflavored gelatin is mixed in, add in all of the flavored gelatin while continuing to whisk. Whisk together on medium-high heat for about 1 minute until fully combined and smooth.
Turn down heat source to low heat while continuing to whisk. Mixture should still be bubbling, but not boiling. Working very quickly, begin to fill your molds. Stir the mixture every so often to recombine. Mixture will continually get thicker and thicker as the gelatin sets, so you only have a few minutes to fill the molds.
Once the mixture is used up, place the molds in the freezer or refrigerator for the gummies to harden, about 20 minutes to an hour. Once completely set, pop them out of the molds and store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy.

Have you added citric acid to the gelatin mix? I know that a lot of people will toss the set gummies in citric acid to give them a sour bite. But we love gummies that are sour inside and out. Do you think that adding the citric acid to the gelatin mixture will interfere with how the gummies set? ——— LEVO Oil Infusion, Inc. replied: Adding citric acid directly to the gelatin mixture can definitely give your gummies that sour kick inside and out! However, it might slightly affect how the gummies set. Citric acid can sometimes make the gelatin a bit softer, but it shouldn’t prevent them from setting entirely.
If you want to experiment, start with a small batch and add a little citric acid to the gelatin mixture. You can always adjust the amount based on the texture and sourness you prefer. And don’t forget to store your gummies in an air-tight container to keep them fresh!

can i add flavoring to the water or even sub a juice for the water to add flavor? ——— LEVO Oil Infusion, Inc. replied: Absolutely! You can definitely swap out the water for juice to add extra sweetness and flavor to your gummies. Just make sure to use 100% juice and avoid citrus juices, as they don’t work especially well with gummy recipes. Adding juice will help mask any herb-flavor and give your gummies a delightful twist. 🍓🍑

Just tried this recipe and the gummies are great. Much more of the chewy texture compared to the last recipe I tried. Do they last longer in the freezer compared to the fridge? ——— LEVO Oil Infusion, Inc. replied: That’s awesome to hear that your gummies turned out great! Yes, storing your gummies in the freezer can extend their shelf life significantly compared to the fridge. Properly wrapped and stored gummies in the freezer can last for months. Just make sure to allow them to defrost slowly before eating to maintain their taste and texture. 🍬

I love this recipe. I have the Levo C and its amazing! I usually swap the 1/2 water with 1/2 infused oil and use 1/4 of water and 2 1/2 teaspoons of letchin and it binds the 2 togther nicely. My gummies always turn out potent and with good gummy consistency. Thanks Levo for the great infusion machine and great recipe! ——— LEVO Oil Infusion, Inc. replied: Thank you so much for the awesome feedback! We’re happy to hear that you’ve been enjoying this recipe!

Once they’ve solidified, how long can I keep them out of the fridge before consuming them, they don’t have to STAY refrigerated until you wanna eat them right? Like I could put some in my purse and eat them when I’m ready? ——— LEVO Oil Infusion, Inc. replied: Hi Meagan! Infused gummies out of the mold will last less than 1 week if not stored in the fridge or freezer. If you’d like to enjoy them beyond that time, they will last up to 2 weeks when refrigerated in an airtight container.
