If you’re looking for a creative twist on classic chocolate-covered strawberries, these Berry Buds are a fun and eye-catching treat. Instead of the usual glossy chocolate coating, fresh strawberries are dipped in infused white chocolate and rolled in a colorful Oreo crumb mixture that gives them the look of tiny flower nugs. The result is a playful dessert that’s just as delicious as it is unique.
Perfect for Valentine’s Day, parties, or any special occasion, Berry Buds combine rich chocolate, sweet strawberries, and crunchy cookies into one irresistible bite. The recipe was created by Kelly Coghlin, whose inventive approach to infused treats inspired this unique take on a classic dessert.

- Let the butter infuse with the herbs until your infusion is complete.
Prepare the Golden Oreo Crumbs:
Add golden Oreos to a blender and pulse until you create fine crumbs.
- While blending, add a small amount of green food coloring to give the crumbs a flower nug-like hue.
- Set aside your golden Oreo crumbs.
Prepare the Regular Oreo Crumbs:
Add regular Oreos to the blender and pulse into crumbs.
- Set aside your regular Oreo crumbs.
Mix the Oreo Crumbs:
Combine the golden Oreo crumbs and the regular Oreo crumbs.
- This is when you'll notice the fun flower colors coming together!
Melt Your Chocolate:
Melt your chocolate however you prefer (double boiler or microwave).

Set Up Your Dipping Station:
Gather everything you need: your melted chocolate with infused butter, your Oreo crumbs, and fresh strawberries.
- Set up a little station for easy assembly.
Dip and Coat the Strawberries:
Dip each strawberry into the infused chocolate, coating it fully.
- Then, roll or sprinkle the chocolate-covered strawberries in the Oreo crumb mixture to coat them evenly.
Chill or Serve:
Place your coated strawberries on parchment paper.
- You can either enjoy them right away or refrigerate them for a firmer chocolate coating.
