Tell us a little about yourself!
I’m originally from San Francisco and now based in Newport Beach, with plans to move to Encinitas soon to embrace the surf and skate culture that inspires me. Growing up in California has shaped so much of who I am—my connection to the ocean, the outdoors, and the creative energy here fuels everything I do.
In the kitchen, my creativity is driven by my love for making fun, thoughtful treats that bring joy to others and help me stay present. I’m not an everyday cook, but I find inspiration in simple, intentional recipes that feel like a little gift, whether it’s experimenting with matcha bombs or creating infused coconut oil for wellness.
How has volunteering to support wildfire relief impacted you?
Volunteering to support wildfire relief has been a deeply rewarding experience. After living in California for about seven years, I’ve seen how these disasters affect people and communities, and I felt compelled to help however I could.
The moment that really stood out to me was seeing how quickly people come together to support each other in times of crisis. Donating clothing and other items was my way of contributing to the rebuilding process, and it felt good knowing I could help provide comfort to those in need.
It’s a reminder of the importance of community, generosity, and showing up for others, especially in difficult times.
How did you get into infusion, and how has it influenced your personal wellness or self-care?
Getting into infusion was a natural step for me as I approached 30 and started focusing more on my overall wellness. I’ve always been a flower user, but I wanted to find a better way to consume flower that would give my lungs a much-needed rest. That’s when I began exploring edibles and infusions.
Infusing things like butter and oils has allowed me to enjoy the benefits of flower in a more mindful and intentional way, without the harshness of smoking. It’s also been a fun creative outlet, as I can experiment with flavors and ingredients while still prioritizing my health.
This shift has really influenced my self-care routine by encouraging me to slow down, be present, and focus on holistic wellness. It’s not just about the effects of flower, but about how I incorporate it into my life in a way that’s thoughtful and nourishing.
What do you love most about using your LĒVO infusion machine?
What I love most about using my LĒVO infusion machine is how incredibly easy it makes the infusion process. Between balancing everything in my life, I really appreciate the simplicity it offers. The sleek design is a bonus, and it looks great in my kitchen.
One of my favorite features is the ability to do long infusions. I recently made a 10-hour infused butter, and I loved that I didn’t have to check on it constantly. I could just set it and forget it, knowing it would be ready when I needed it. It’s such a convenient way to create infusions without the stress of constant monitoring, and it makes the whole process feel effortless.
What’s your favorite infusion to make with LĒVO, and how do you use it?
My favorite infusion to make with the LĒVO is definitely infused butter. Fats are such a beautiful way to support brain function, and I use butter in so many of my meals, so having it infused just makes everything 10x better! I add it to my coffee for a smooth, calming start to the day, and I incorporate it into nearly every meal. Whether it’s on toast, in cooking, or just as a topping, it’s the perfect way to elevate any dish while adding those wonderful wellness benefits.
Can you tell us about the recipe you developed for this Spotlight?
For this Spotlight, I developed an infused chocolate strawberry recipe with a twist! I didn’t want to go with the typical chocolate-covered strawberries, especially with Valentine’s Day coming up, so I focused on creating something special for all the flower lovers out there. While browsing the web, I came across a recipe where the strawberries were shaped like flower nugs, and it instantly got me excited! The creativity behind it really resonated with me, and I knew I had to give it a try.
This recipe ties into my infusion journey because it reflects my desire to level up my cooking experience and bring something fresh and innovative to the table.
Do you have any tips, tricks, or advice for others using their LĒVO machine?
Although I’m still new to the infusion world, my biggest tip is to not be afraid to mess up and just try everything! The beauty of infusions is that it’s all about experimentation and finding what works best for you. Be creative with your ingredients, and don’t worry about making it perfect the first time. I’ve learned that the more you play around with the process, the more you find joy in it.
If you could describe your “infusion style” in three words, what would they be?
Creative, Intentional, Nourishing.
What inspires you to create recipes or infused products?
What inspires me to create recipes or infused products is a mix of my love for experimentation and my focus on wellness. I find a lot of inspiration in combining my favorite flavors with the goal of making foods that nourish both the body and the mind. I’m always looking for ways to elevate simple recipes by adding infusions that can boost my wellness routine, whether that’s a morning coffee or a fun treat. I also find inspiration in my experiences with giving back to the community, as it reminds me of the importance of connection, mindfulness, and creating things that bring joy to others.
Are there any resources or organizations you’d like to recommend for others who want to support wildfire relief efforts in California?
YES! LAFD (Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation) Pasadena Humane, Best Friends Animal Society, Altadena Teen Girls Fire Recovery. Reach out to L.A. Works to find volunteer opportunities!
What’s one thing you’d like others to know about you or your journey?
One thing I’d like others to know about me is that I’m about to hit 3 years sober from alcohol this year. Over the past few years, I’ve been focusing on becoming the best version of myself, and a big part of that is protecting my lungs after years of damage. I’ve always loved surfing and skateboarding, and I want to do those things for the rest of my life. To do that, I know I need to prioritize my lung health, so my goal has been to inhale less smoke and find more ways to consume edibles. It’s all about finding balance and making choices that allow me to thrive in the long term!
Anything else you’d like to share with the LĒVO community?
I’m always inspired by this quote: 'The journey is the reward.' It reminds me that growth isn’t just about reaching a destination but embracing the process along the way. Whether it’s through infusions, self-care, or just everyday moments, I try to focus on enjoying the journey.
