In the latest LĒVO Spotlight Series, Candice Ihuoma, founder of Butter & Sage Skin Apothecary, opens up about her path from herbal enthusiast to skincare entrepreneur.  She shares how a LĒVO machine streamlined her process, shares the plant‑powered techniques behind her “simple, intentional, creative” infusions, and invites readers to try her tincture recipe she calls “Chill Out.”  Discover how Candice blends tradition with LĒVO technology and why her approach might inspire your own self‑care routine.

Tell us a little about yourself!
My name is Candice Ihuoma from Houston, Texas  and I am the founder and owner of Butter & Sage Skin Apothecary. I started my skincare and wellness business in 2018 after I decided to take charge in what I put in and on my body. I have always been a lover of nature and what it offers so that has been the staple of my brand.

How did you get into infusion?
The desire to incorporate herbs and oil into things I used or consumed sparked my need to learn how to infuse these ingredients together.

What do you love most about using your LĒVO infusion machine?
One of the many things I love about the LEVO infusion machine is the amount of time saved in creating my infusions. Prior to using the LEVO machine I would have to wait at least a month before being able to use my infusion but not anymore. The LEVO machine allows me to create and use the infusion the same day.

What’s your favorite infusion to make with LĒVO, and how do you use it?
My go to infused oils is what I call my “Chill Out” Infusion which involves specific herbs infused in MCT oil. I sip this infusion throughout the day as a comforting part of my self‑care routine.

Do you have any tips, tricks, or advice for others using their LĒVO machine?
I tend to do double infusions to increase the potency of my products. So basically, I tend to go through two rounds of infusing my oils with specific herbs which is still a way shorter time than if I did the old fashioned way.

If you could describe your “infusion style” in three words, what would they be?
I would describe my infusion style as simple, intentional and creative.

What inspires you to create recipes or infused products?
My inspiration would have to be my love for wellness and the important connection we have with nature.

What’s one thing you’d like others to know about you or your journey?
I want everyone to know that there are healthier options for self care that will not hurt your pockets! Butter & Sage products are created with intention and care and are meant to help elevate your self care rituals.

Can you tell us about the recipe you developed for this feature?
Yes, I am always met with so many tasks daily that lead to stress and anxiety. I wanted to create an infusion with herbs that I find soothing. I enjoy this homemade tincture because it feels good to make and use something natural.

Anything else you’d like to share with the LĒVO community?
I want to encourage others to explore! Explore nature and what it offers. Wellness is wealth and we only have one body so take care of it. I want to thank LEVO for offering an amazing machine that allowed me to create so many great infusions for me and my family.
