Can you share with us the story behind your farm and what inspired you to start this journey?

I’ve always dreamed of growing food, having animals and making everything from scratch the way my ancestors did before me - the way my mama did before she passed. Cue my adult years when I started growing a few things here and there. It wasn't until I met my friend, Victoria, who had chickens and dreams of a homestead. Meeting her showed me that my dreams didn't have to be just that. I could make them a reality and start to find myself again after having my son. So, that's what I did!

How did you first come across LĒVO, and what motivated you to incorporate it into your farm-based lifestyle?

I was searching Amazon for tools and devices to aid in infusions. I came across LĒVO and was obsessed the second I saw it! I knew being able to make herbal remedies in a fraction of the time would be a major time saver for me. Not only that, but when my son's eczema was acting up I knew I would easily be able to make a calendula oil in a matter of hours.

Describe a typical day on your farm and how LĒVO fits into your daily activities.

A typical day starts with our chickens. I let the girls out and make sure everyone looks good and there are no predators in the coop... then it’s chaos from there. I’ll tend to my garden, harvest whatever is ready. I’ll restock whatever items we use like bread, simple syrup and herbal remedies. However, I do get distracted VERY easily, so I may do a random project that popped into my head 6 months ago and forget all of the things I actually need to do. Either way, something is getting done in the yard or in the kitchen.

What are your favorite features of the LĒVO machine, and how do they enhance your recipe creation process?

I love that it’s a lot safer than leaving a simmering pot unattended on the stove, plus how much faster it is to make whatever I want/need!

How do you select the ingredients for your topicals and recipes using LĒVO? Are they usually from your farm?

Yes! I grow 99% of what I use to infuse! I love using Calendula, Lemon Balm, Lavender and Rosemary. It depends on the issue I'm treating, but if it’s a topical I will always use Calendula. It has incredible healing and anti-inflammatory properties.

How does your approach to wellness influence the topicals and recipes you create with LĒVO?

I always want to make sure I’m using honest organic ingredients. I never want to use something that could have potentially been sprayed. On our farm, we are no spray, which is why I grow whatever I can for medicinal preparations.

Can you give us a sneak peek into a favorite recipe you’ve created using LĒVO? What makes it special?

My favorite recipes are a facial toner or a whipped body butter! The facial toner was the first herbal product ever made and sold, so I love to share the recipe and keep it alive.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start creating their own topicals and recipes with LĒVO?

Don’t wait! I regret spending so much time and money on products that weren’t “clean” or organic like they claimed and only made my issues worse. Jump right in and ditch those toxic chemicals.

Do you have any exciting plans or projects in the making that you'd like to share with us?

I’m currently writing a book of recipes for every day products using herbs and natural ingredients! It’s a passion of mine to show others how easy it is to remove the toxic chemicals from your home. The facial toner recipe will be in there, along with many others!

Cleaning Vinegar! I always recommend this as a first-time infusion. Most of the time, people are using toxic chemicals to clean their homes. This is all-natural and works on any surface.
