Ingredients: 2-3 tbsp dried lavender; 1/4 cup of jojoba oil; 1 cup of baking soda; 1/2 cup of citric acid; 1/3 cup of cornstarch; 1/8 cup of kaolin clay; 1 spray bottle of water; 2-3 tbsp dried lavender; 1 non-metallic bowl; 1 set of nitrile gloves; 1 silicone mold; optional: 1/8 tsp of menthol crystal powder; optional: Mica Powder to add color to your shower steamers

We can all agree that lavender is a self care essential. Learn how to make your own lavender shower steamers for a relaxing daily self care ritual.

Ingredients

For Infusion

2-3 tbsp dried lavender
1/4 cup of jojoba oil

For Steamers

1 cup of baking soda
1/2 cup of citric acid
1/3 cup of cornstarch
1/8 cup of kaolin clay
1 spray bottle of water
2-3 tbsp dried lavender
1 non-metallic bowl
1 set of nitrile gloves
1 silicone mold
optional: 1/8 tsp of menthol crystal powder
optional: Mica Powder to add color to your shower steamers

Directions

LEVO Prep

Pack LEVO Pod with dried lavender.
Fill LEVO reservoir with jojoba oil.
Set LEVO to Infuse for 30 minutes at 175°F.
Dispense!

Instructions

Add baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, kaolin clay, mica powder (for color), dried lavender, and menthol crystal powder (optional) to a non-metallic mixing bowl and mix until combined.
Add infused lavender oil to the mixture. Knead the mixture together. If needed, use your spray bottle to lightly spray the mixture with water if it's a little dry. Make sure to incorporate immediately to avoid a reaction.
Fill a silicone mold with the shower steamer mixture. Press firmly into the mold using your fingers.
Wait 24-48 hours to dry completely. They should feel hard and solid. Once ready, remove each shower steamer from the mold and enjoy!

Recipe Note

Be sure to wear nitrile gloves when mixing to protect your skin from the citric acid.
