Homemade Infused Cocoa Butter Lotion

Ingredients

• 1 cup of cocoa butter
• 1 cup of infused coconut oil
• ½ cup of sweet almond oil
• Jars or containers with lids
• 14 grams of dried flowers
• Fine strainer

Directions

If you do have a LĒVO II Infusion Machine, you can just set your machine up and decarb to your liking. (If you don’t continue with the method below).

1. First, you'll need to decarboxylate your flowers and then infuse your oils.
2. Grind and decarb the flowers in the oven preheated at 250° F for 25 minutes
3. Melt the coconut or almond oil in a pan and add the decarbed flowers.
4. Infuse on low heat for 1-2 hours.
5. Strain plant materials through a strainer.
6. Melt the remaining oils and butter in a saucepan until completely liquified.
7. Blend all the ingredients together in a bowl and then set in the freezer for approximately 20 minutes.
8. Once the mixture has hardened but not completely solidified, whip the ingredients using an electric beater until you have made it fluffy and light.
9. Store in a glass jar or plastic tub with a lid.

Recipe Note

Your cocoa butter will naturally harden once it comes to room temperature. If you're wondering how to melt the cocoa butter, you only need to scoop a small amount into your hands. The natural warmth from your body will melt it in no time!

Remember that you will not be affected by rubbing the butter on your skin. However, you will experience the anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects of your homemade lotion.
