Homemade Infused Chocolate Bars
This simple recipe for LĒVO-infused chocolate bars is perfect for making your first infused treat. You only need a little bit of time and a few ingredients, but this botanically-enhanced candy offers plenty of flavor and health benefits.

For centuries, it’s been noted that cocoa has many health benefits, including memory restoration, immune support, inflammation reduction, minimizing oxidative stress, and muscle repair.
Cocoa is rich in iron, magnesium, selenium, and zinc. Flavonoids found in dark chocolate have been shown to improve cardiovascular health. Many nutritionists recommend at least 72% or more cocoa for maximum health benefits.
Herb-infused butter adds even more medicinal benefits to the already long list of positive effects from the cocoa powder. Depending on the flower strain used for infusing, your chocolate bar may be rich in botanicals or terpenes that are known for their anti-anxiety, anti-pain, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Terpenes such as pinene, humulene, and beta-caryophyllene each have a unique set of compounds that influence taste, aromas, and effects.
Decarbing and Infusing Without LĒVO

Making Your Chocolate Bars
Keep in mind that you will need to factor in additional time to make your own infused butter. Once your butter is infused, you are ready to make chocolate bars. You can also use infused oil instead of butter if you prefer.
Homemade Infused Chocolate Bars
- Double boiler
- Chocolate bar mold(s)
- Sieve/ Strainer
- 1/2 cup of your infused butter, softened but not melted
- 6 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 6 tablespoons of powdered sugar
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract to cut bitterness (optional based on personal preference)
- Optional items: nuts, seeds, dried fruit, etc.
Silicone molds are easy to use and highly recommended. You can use one chocolate bar mold or several different smaller molds if you would like. You can monitor your botanical consumption by counting the chocolate squares eaten. We highly recommend starting with 1 and waiting at least 2 hours before trying another. This will help you accurately gauge the potency.
Melt the infused butter in a double boiler.
- After the butter has melted, gradually sieve in the cocoa butter, vanilla extract (optional) & powdered sugar.
- Stir over low heat until all of the ingredients are fully combined.
- Make sure the consistency is smooth.
- Pour the infused mixture into the chocolate bar mold(s).
- Place the mold(s) in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
- Remove the chocolate bar from the mold(s) carefully.
Your infused chocolates are now ready to enjoy! You can also jazz up the appearance and taste with crushed candy cane, crumbled peanut butter cups, dried lavender, sea salt, or sprinkles.
