You may know him as The Hawaiian Alchemist on social media, but Topher Jacob is a talented chef and community builder in the LEVO Love Club. From small-batch confections and gourmet dishes, Topher’s creations are truly a result of alchemy.
In celebration of 4/20 all-month, we checked in with Topher and got him to share his recipe for an infused strawberry mochi ice cream. Is it too much to ask him to make everything #LEVOmade?

Herbalist of the Month Q&A
Question: What’s your favorite #LEVOmade infusion you’ve made to date?
Aroma Oils, for Ramen. Black garlic, Green Onion, Chili, Sesame, Bonito… and weirdly enough Popeyes Chicken Skin Oil. Although so far, nutmeg oil. You can sneak it into anything as an oil. A few drops make anything made with butter just pop!
Question: What do you love about the LEVO Love Club?
The community and think tank of ideas. There is always something to be made or new recipe someone is coming up with that you gotta try.
Question: What’s next for you and your LEVO?
Stockpiling. I found having a good range of oils stocked and ready to go is the best thing to do. All your dried year herbs and spices you got in your cupboard losing flavor…turn it to oil. When you need a little extra layer of flavor to add a few drops, or start blending them like perfume.
