Tired of chips? We hear you. Homemade snacks are not only better for you, they taste better! These jalapeño cheese crisps have an added cilantro flavor in every bite thanks to the LEVO infusion of cilantro and avocado oil.
Ingredients
2 cups avocado oil
2 tbsp cilantro leaves
For Crisps
1 cup worth of shredded cheese (shredding your own reduces unnecessary preservatives)
1 large jalapeño, sliced
For Infusion
Directions
LĒVO Prep
Pack herb pod about 2/3 full with cilantro leaves.
Add avocado oil into the reservoir until filled.
Set your LĒVO to 170°F and infuse for 15-30 minutes.
When complete, dispense. Set aside 3 tbsp for this recipe. Store the remainder in an air-tight container and put in the refrigerator.
Instructions
Set oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix 1 cup of cheese with 3 tbsp of LĒVO-infused cilantro avocado oil.
Place small piles of cheese (about 1.5” wide) on the baking sheet leaving distance between each pile, as they will spread.
Top each pile with a jalapeño slice.
Cook for 8 minutes, until edges are brown and cheese begins to bubble.
Remove from oven and top with any additional spice, we like a sprinkling of red pepper flakes.
Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from paper. Enjoy!
