Back in 2011, our CEO, Chrissy Bellman, found herself bewildered that the infusion process was so time-consuming, complicated, and messy. She knew that there had to be a better method. 

Over the next several years, Chrissy developed the first-generation LĒVO device, which has since morphed into the even more advanced second-generation LĒVO II. LĒVO’s purpose is to streamline the infusion process, which saves the user time, stress, and money in the long run.

Directions

1. Use coarsely ground, decarbed flower and pack it into the LĒVO pod. Make sure that it is not ground too finely, or bits of herb might seep into your infusion.

2. Place the LĒVO herb pod into the reservoir or basin.

3. Pour in enough oil to cover the herb inside the herb pods. Close the lid or set the basin on the machine.

4. Set your LĒVO to 170°F and infuse for 5 hours. The time and temperature calculator can be used to make sure this part of the process is precise.

5. Pour the infusion into an airtight container while the coconut oil is still warm. We recommend using a glass jar that can be reused. The Herb Press should be used to help with efficient dispensing.
6. The coconut infusion can easily be stored in your pantry. For maximum freshness, we recommend keeping your infusions organized and accessible by keeping them in freezer-safe herb blocks.

Nerd Rope Edible with Gummy Bears Recipe

1. If using LĒVO Gummy Mix, follow the bag instructions.
   
   To melt the gummy bears in the microwave: microwave the bears in 20-30 second intervals, stirring between each heat cycle.
   
   To melt the bears on the stovetop, add to a pot and stir on low heat until melted. You can add a couple drops of water, too.

2. Once the bears are melted, turn off the heat and add 4 tablespoons of infused oil. Mix thoroughly for about 10 minutes to ensure the oil and gummy mix doesn’t separate when cooled. (If they do separate, you can always melt gummies back down and try again!)

3. Pour the gummy liquid into a squirt bottle, use included gummy droppers, or a turkey baster to create the ropes.

4. Use a silicone rope mold or create troughs by accordian-folding sheets of wax paper. Each trough should be filled with some of the Nerd candies as the first layer. (You can also use our LĒVO Herb Block tray to make Nerd Blocks.)

5. Next, use the squirt bottle to pour the liquid gummy mixture into the molds or troughs in a straight line.

6. Coat the gummy mixture with another layer of Nerds and continue to add desired layers of gummy bear mixture and nerds to the molds or troughs.

7. Allow the ropes to sit overnight or for at least 4 hours in the fridge, and enjoy!

Storage

The gummy Nerd ropes can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 months. The gummy part of the treat will become extra chewy the longer it sits. This particular treat does not freeze well, so we don’t recommend storing it in the freezer.
