Infused olive oil adds depth and complexity to dishes, elevating them with the flavors, effects, and aromas of herbs, spices, fruits, or even vegetables. Choosing the Right Olive Oil

The quality of the olive oil you use for infusion plays a vital role in the final flavor profile of your creation. Opt for a high-quality, extra-virgin olive oil that has a mild and balanced flavor. This will serve as a neutral base that allows the infused flavors to shine through. Remember, the higher the quality of your olive oil, the better the end result will be.

Exploring Infusion Ingredients

One of the most exciting aspects of infusing olive oil is the wide array of ingredients you can use to create unique and personalized flavors. From aromatic herbs like rosemary, thyme, and basil to spicy peppers, citrus zest, and even exotic spices, the possibilities are endless. Experiment with different combinations to discover your favorite flavor profiles. We recommend starting with a single ingredient infusion to truly appreciate its distinct character before moving on to complex blends. I am using a Levo C machine and want to make infused olive oils. Looking for a good ratio recipe for a mushroom and sage infused olive oil. We also would need to dehydrate ingredients first correct?

LEVO Oil Infusion, Inc. replied:
Dehydrating the mushrooms and sage is a key step to lock in flavor and keep your infused oil fresh. For the perfect blend, try using 16 oz of olive oil with 1/4 cup of dried mushrooms and 1-2 tablespoons of dried sage leaves in your LĒVO C. Happy Infusing!

I’m giving basil infused olive oil as present. It’s in clear bottle. How long will it be good for? Like regular olive oil. Not refrigerated or frozen.

That’s such a thoughtful gift! Basil-infused olive oil can last quite a while if stored properly. Here are some tips to ensure it stays fresh:

1. Store in a Cool, Dry Place: Keep the bottle in a cupboard away from heat sources. Oils can go rancid if exposed to heat. 2. Use Dark Glass: If possible, transfer the oil to a dark glass bottle to protect it from light, which can also degrade the oil. 3. Check the Best Before Date: Use the best before date on the original bottle of olive oil as a guideline. Typically, infused oils should be used within 12 months. 4. Avoid Reheating: Don’t reuse or reheat the oil after cooking with it.

Enjoy gifting your delicious creation! 🌿✨

Do we need to activate fresh herbs like basil or garlic after drying, before infusing?

I’m very keen to get started infusing olive oil with fresh herbs, garlic, chilli, Tumeric etc..
My question is should I use the dry cycle before infusing or can I go straight to infusing?

LEVO Oil Infusion, Inc. replied:
Hi Chris, It’s fantastic that you’re ready to embark on your infusion journey! We recommend using the LĒVO Dry cycle to prepare fresh herbs for infusing. Dried herbs contain less moisture, which can extend the shelf life of your infusion. Enjoy your creative infusions!
