How To Infuse Milk

Infusing milk at home can be quite the tricky kitchen adventure without the right tools. Even if you have a cheesecloth on hand, you're not guaranteed to have smooth milk at the end. The cheese cloth does its best, but there's usually some grit or fats leftover that seep through. This can result in a milk that's not a joy to drink!

Luckily, you can infuse milk directly with LĒVO. All you need to do is press a button and LĒVO will do everything else for you. When the infusion is complete, you'll have a final product that’s clean, tasty, and easy to store.

Here are some items to help you get started:

Tips for Infused Milk or Dairy:

  • You don't want to overheat the milk as it can impact the flavor and nutrients or cause it to burn. Keep the temperature to 165°F or below when infusing
  • If using a magical kind of herb for infusion, you want to use whole fat milk or dairy, as it's most efficient for binding the herb to the liquid
  • Store your infused milk or dairy in the refrigerator
  • For a vegan or dairy-free option, coconut milk and soy milk have good amounts of fat for efficiently binding your herbs

I would like to infuse half and half. I see the directions for milk, but wanted to make sure creamers or half and half can also be infused. Has anyone tried this?

For heavy cream or half and half, we recommend setting infusing at 150°F for 2.5-3 hours. For more information like this, you should join us in the LĒVO Love Club on Facebook. There’s tons of inspiration and resources to be found in this group. Happy Infusing! 🌿

I’m looking to infuse lemonade with a magical herb. I’d like to make it strong and infuse it for a long time. Any ideas?

We recommend checking out our Lemonade with Honey and Ginger recipe at https://levooil.com/blogs/recipes/lemonade-recipe-honey-ginger 🍋 For best results, we suggest infusing your flower and honey for 2-4 hours at 105°F. Tip: Add one teaspoon of lecithin per 2 cups of honey to help your flower bind to your ingredients. You may also add a second power pod to double the amount of flower you’re infusing! 🌿

Hi Joe! Avocado oil can be used similarly when infusing. Please refer to our Herb Calculator (https://levooil.com/pages/calculator) for suggestions on time & temp when working with different infusion combinations, including Avocado + any herb of your choice!
