From culinary experts to holistic healers, edible lovers and beyond, the LĒVO Love Club community is what makes our small business so incredibly special.

As part of a recurring series, we’ll be shining the spotlight on infüsiasts to share their tips, tricks & infusion journeys. This month, we talked to Rick O., a sales professional and veteran who recently started making his own medicine at home.

"To have found a product like LĒVO that is this life-affirming, there's no question in my mind that this will have a longterm impact on my life."

For the team at LĒVO, Rick's story really resonated with us. Throughout the years, we've heard tales from customers facing all sorts of ailments, looking for a natural alternative to over-the-counter medicines.

Rick's infusion journey is one that many can relate to. It started with a store-bought gummy to help manage arthritis pain and continues with educating himself through different ingredients, potencies, and learning how to use LĒVO to turn new foods or topicals into tools for healing.

LEVO Customer Spotlight: Rick O

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am a military veteran and sales professional. When my entrance tests offered me any job I wanted, I chose to be a Nuclear Launch Tech. It was The Cold War and yes, it was a war. Life for me would never be the same after training.

My physical condition had been spurring thoughts of early retirement, not going back into the workforce, I've been that sore and uncomfortable being out and moving. I’m in a state based on arthritis; the lack of mobility and not being active catches up to you. If I don't exercise, it doesn't feel good, but sometimes it's not worth it. Lately with LĒVO, I've had the juice to do it. I've had a base level of discomfort that's been lifted and lets me live how I want to.

I was with a friend, telling him how happy I am with the machine and even he noticed a difference. He said, “You're a different person than you've been in the past. You're much lighter, like you're carrying less weight.”

What made you interested in at-home infusion?

A friend of mine had a large supply of medicinal gummies that they shared with me. I tried them and it was exactly what I wanted. But it got to a point where the sweetness was messing with my teeth. I’m also a diabetic, so it was messing with my sugars. I’m a healthy guy, so I started looking for a way to make sugar free gummies and once I found people talking about LĒVO, that was it.

What was your first experience with LĒVO like?

I was so captivated by the initial response. The first batch I made, I was a little apprehensive. I used 8 grams of not-so-great product and it was still strong. It demonstrated a change in my body in terms of the ache.

My girlfriend asked me how I was doing that morning; I ache most mornings. I didn’t even have to say anything. I just looked like I wasn’t in pain. All I had was two regular pieces of bread and butter. It worked! I wasn’t in pain.

How has infusion impacted your life, if at all?

I have body-wide aches and pains many have associated with arthritis. But now with LĒVO to make my medication, once the infusion takes effect, I'm able to move about and I'm not locked into a couch or chair due to pain.

Do you think other veterans could benefit from the use of a LĒVO?

Absolutely! The ability to enjoy the medication without smelling like a Dave Mathews concert, it's important. Sometimes people judge you based on "flower smell." Well, no more!

What are you most excited to try next with your LĒVO?

I’m still trying to figure the chemistry out and get the dosing levelled off. From strain to strain, things are different. But eventually, I want to start producing salves and creams to help people with arthritis and start making my own at home.

What’s one tip you’d give to someone just starting with infusion?

My advice is to trust the machine and trust the throngs of people online that swear by it. You won't regret trusting the machine. I know what I'm putting into this experiment is what I get out of it. It’s equal in value to the money and time I put into it. Is the machine all worth it? It's worth it. Hands down. Trust the machine.
