I bought the Levo C after one of my herbalism teachers showed us her Levo II. I have used my Levo C to infuse oils with various herbs now to help create salves, body butters, beard creams, and more. It has been really easy to clean up and I'm glad I no longer have to sit and wait by the stove. I ended up buying the potency pod too. Is the LĒVO C an all-in-one herb infuser, or do I still need to decarb separately?
It activates and infuses in one machine. The LĒVO C runs Activate (decarboxylate) and Infuse in the same pod, so there’s no oven step and no second appliance. One thing to know before you buy: it has no Dry cycle, so dry fresh garden herbs before they go in. Dried herb from the store is ready as-is.
How do I control how potent an infusion comes out?
You set the three things that decide it: infusion time, temperature and your herb-to-oil ratio. The included Jumbo Pod holds 1 oz (28 g) of herb of choice, four times the LĒVO II+ and LĒVO Lux pods, so a large batch stays strong instead of thinning out. Because every setting is a number, the batch you liked last month is the batch you can repeat.
How is the LĒVO C different from the stovetop or a slow cooker?
A stovetop or slow cooker drifts in temperature, can scorch, and loses product when you strain it through cloth. The LĒVO C holds a set temperature for a set time, infuses without chopping or aerating your herb, and keeps your herb in the pod so there’s nothing to strain. Will my kitchen smell while the LĒVO C runs?
Some. The LĒVO C isn’t a sealed machine, so it lets out more aroma during the Activate cycle than the LĒVO II+ or LĒVO Lux, though noticeably less than an oven. If odor control is your deciding factor, the LĒVO II+ is the model built around it.
How much hands-on work and cleanup is involved?
Very little. Herb goes in the Jumbo Pod, oil or butter goes in the basin, you press start and walk away. Your herb stays in the pod, so there’s nothing to strain through cheesecloth. The removable parts are dishwasher safe and the machine itself wipes clean.
Is the LĒVO C the right LĒVO for me?
The LĒVO C is the large-batch herb infuser, built around a big glass basin and the 1 oz Jumbo Pod for household-size runs. Choose the LĒVO II+ if odor control and on-board drying matter more than volume, or the LĒVO Lux for fresh-herb drying and dispensing control. Compare all three machines.
