Finally, no leaks!
Levo finally has a model that makes sense. You aren't pouring media into an elevated cup with a hole in it for gravity to work against. I've owned the Levo II, the Levo Lux, and now the C. Both the two and the c have design issues that render them much less than durable. The latch where the lid secures is plastic and can't handle the stress and so breaks (this happened once on both the 2 and the lux). But the biggest problem is leakage. Both the 2 and lux leak when infusing, up to what I would estimate to be an ounce of oil. This is unacceptable to me for two reasons - first, the loss of good infused oil and second the mess is intolerable to my wife.
Also something to be aware of, the extended warranty is good for one replacement. If your latch breaks and you replace the unit under warranty, when the replacement leaks you're on your own.
Now back to the bright spot, the Levo C. It's a glass carafe that you pour media into, add your herb, and potentially even store your infusions long term. It has a gasket and a metal bottom for the heat transfer, which is a long term concern of mine for leaks again but this appears more soundly constructed so we'll see how things go.
The levo C makes a lot more sense from a design perspective. Simpler, less to go wrong, and plenty of capacity. It's also about half the price of the lux.
I like Levo and their machines - they fill a niche in the market that no one else currently does. They Decarb, strain, and stir, and are very…
