With the legalization of medicinals in more and more states, new products are also being released onto the market. From edibles to creams and balms, there are countless options for incorporating the effects of herb-infused products into your daily life.
Additionally, many medicinal flower companies now sell lubes that use infused oil mixed with other base carrier oils. Certainly, you can try infused lube products from various stores, but they can often be overly expensive. The best part about having a LĒVO machine is that you can get creative and make your own products!
Just like other edibles and medicinal products, you can make your own infused lube in the comfort of your own home! If you’re looking to try something new, incorporating an infused lube into your sex life could elevate things to new heights.
How to Make Homemade Infused Lube
You can make this natural infused lubricant with just about any safe/edible carrier oil and any blend of essential oils. Of course, making any sort of botanical infusion is much better when using the LĒVO II, LĒVO Lux or LĒVO C infusing machine. What makes these home infusion machines special? Learn more about the LĒVO difference and compare LĒVO's models to find the machine that is best suited for you and your needs. This is because not only does it handle your decarbing (and contain the smell), but also your infusing, all in one place- with pinpoint accuracy. All of this is without the mess, guesswork, and waste.
Take a look at our time and temperature calculator and you’ll have a better idea of what this machine could do for you. However, if you don’t own a LĒVO II then you can follow the steps below in this article here.
How to Use the Homemade Infused Lube
Homemade lube can be used alone or with a partner. Once you decide what potency and essential oil combinations you like best, you can make another batch or come up with new recipes. It’s recommended to use roughly 1mL when beginning to use your infused lube.
In addition to using your homemade lube in the bedroom, this recipe can also be used as a simple massage oil or pain-relief balm. Even if you don’t use the lube for the assumed purposes, you can still use it to give a wonderful back massage to your partner- especially after a tough day at the gym.
Note: It’s important to remember that coconut oil isn’t compatible with most condoms. The oil can degrade the latex and cause condoms to break. In this case, use glycerin in place of coconut oil, or use latex-free condoms.
What Does Homemade Lube Feel Like?
This recipe can be used as an infused lube, massage oil, or even used as a pain-relief relief alternative. It creates a slippery surface, so it doesn’t need to be re-applied constantly. It also offers another great sensory experience with the aromas of your chosen essential oils.
It takes somewhere between 15-45 minutes to start really feeling the effects of the lube, so you can apply it to yourself ahead of time, or you can get your partner to give you a massage as you wait for the effects to kick in.
Can You Get High from the Lube?
Depending on the amount that you use and your body composition, and whether there are any psychoactive elements in your homemade infused lube. Much like other infused herb products, its effects depend on you and the product being used.

For 2 cups of coconut oil, how much herb do you commend using for the infusion?

LEVO Oil Infusion, Inc. replied:
For an infusion with 2 cups of coconut oil, we recommend using 1 oz of herb if you have the potency pod or 14 grams of herb using two 7g power pods. This will maximize the strength of your infusion and give you a robust, flavorful result. 🌿💪

2.5 to 5 hours seems pretty vague. Can you be more specific? Are there pros and cons to infusing for 2.5 over 5 hours, and 5 hours over 2.5?

LEVO Oil Infusion, Inc. replied:
Hi Dave,
The time is calculated with our official oil & herb calculator! Pick your herb, then your oil, and it will tell you what time and temperature we recommend. You may want to further adjust the time based on the end goal of your infusion! For example, if you want your infusion to have only a “hint” of flavor, consider lowering the infusion time. If you’re looking for a robust, intense aroma and potent taste, you may want to infuse for much longer! Experiment to find out what works for you.
