The patented way to infuse at home

LĒVO's countertop infusion system is protected by U.S. Patent No. 9,795,246 and four related U.S. patents, with LĒVO's founder as a named inventor. The LĒVO II+ and Lux are patented, and the LĒVO C is patent pending.

The story

Built to end the guesswork

LĒVO founder Chrissy started working on LĒVO after watching friends try to make herbal infusions at home and finding a pile of conflicting advice on how to do it right.

Her answer was a machine that steeps herbs the way a coffee maker brews: gently, at a set temperature, with nothing to strain. LĒVO filed its first patent application in 2016, and U.S. Patent No. 9,795,246 was granted on October 24, 2017, naming her as an inventor.

What's patented

The four ideas at the heart of the patent

The core of U.S. Patent No. 9,795,246, in plain English.

A sealed herb pod

Your herb steeps inside a permeable pod instead of being chopped into the oil, so there is nothing to strain out.

A magnetic stirrer

A stirrer on the floor of the chamber, spun by a magnet underneath, moves the oil. No blades, and nothing hanging from the lid to drip.

Precise temperature

A temperature sensor and controller hold your oil at the setting you choose, for as long as you choose.

Dispense, don't pour

On the II+ and Lux, a gravity-fed drain lets the finished infusion flow out at the press of a button, with no lifting, tipping or straining.

From the patent

Why the pod sits off-center

The stirrer spins at the center of the chamber, and the oil moves fastest away from the middle. Setting the herb pod off-center puts your herb right where the flow is strongest, a detail written into the patent's claims.
