LEVO vs the alternatives

Every alternative has one thing in common. You.

The saucepan needs you to stir. The slow cooker needs you to guess. The seventy-nine dollar lookalike needs you to hope. LEVO needs you to press start and walk away.

The cycle

Four steps. Where a machine stops decides what you get.

Every step a machine skips becomes a step you do by hand, or a variable you cannot control.

01

Dry

Fresh botanicals carry water. Water dilutes a batch and invites mold. LEVO dries them in the pod before anything else happens.

02

Activate

Controlled time and temperature. Skip this step and the batch underperforms. Overshoot it and you cook off the thing you were after.

03

Infuse

Steady heat and circulation, hands off. No stirring, no thermometer, no standing at the stove for three hours.

04

Dispense

The stainless Power Pod strains as it pours. There is no cheesecloth stage in this kitchen.

A machine that stops at step two has not saved you the work. It has moved it to your counter.

Side by side

LEVO against every way people actually do this

Stovetop and slow cooker are methods, so we can describe them plainly. For other machines we publish their own figures, and where a company does not publish one, we say so instead of guessing.

One at a time

Whatever you were about to buy, here is the honest version

No mystery, no straw men. What each option genuinely does, and what it leaves you holding afterwards.

One machine or one afternoon

LEVO

Load the pod, set the time and temperature, press start. The machine handles the heat, the circulation, and the straining.

  • Dries fresh botanicals before infusing
  • Activation at a temperature you choose
  • Strains as it dispenses
  • Same settings, same batch, every time

Stovetop

A saucepan holds heat as well as anything. The rest of the job is yours: the watching, the stirring, the thermometer, and the cheesecloth at the end.

  • Three or more hours, attended
  • Strength is a guess each time
  • The smell is a house-wide event
  • One pan to scrub, one cloth to wring
See the machinesMost people arrive here from a saucepan.

Setting a temperature beats holding one

LEVO

Holding heat is the easy part. Reaching a specific temperature for a specific time, on purpose, is the part that makes a batch repeatable.

  • Dry, activate, and infuse as separate controlled stages
  • Free calculator for time and temperature
  • Eight to twelve hours becomes about thirty minutes

Slow cooker

A slow cooker is very good at one thing, and that thing is staying warm overnight. It does not dry, it does not run an activation stage, and it does not strain.

  • Eight to twelve hours
  • No drying or activation stage
  • Still a straining job at the end

A patent and a phone number or a listing and a hope

LEVO

We designed the thing. That means we can tell you how it works, replace the part that failed, and take it back if you decide it was not for you.

  • Thirty-day returns, no argument
  • Support reachable by a person

Unbranded lookalike

Marketplace listings for lookalike machines change name, seller, and photograph frequently. Before you buy one, the fair questions are who made it, who honours the warranty, and who you contact in month seven.

  • Manufacturer often not named
  • Warranty terms vary by seller
  • Parts and support not stated

About the cheap ones

The listing looks identical. That is the point.

Search any marketplace and you will find a machine photographed like ours, described like ours, and priced at a third of ours. A few of them have used our photographs.

Here is the honest version: we cannot tell you what is inside those, and often neither can the seller. What we can tell you is what is inside this one, and what happens on the day something goes wrong.

Utility patents

[FILL: list the granted utility patent numbers. A number a buyer can look up is worth more than any adjective.]

One-year warranty

On every new machine, honoured by the company that built it rather than whichever seller currently holds the listing.

Support that answers

A real support team, a published help centre, and replacement parts that exist because the parts were designed here.

Thirty-day returns

If it turns out you infuse twice a year after all, send it back. We would rather have that than a bad review.

The cheap one is only cheap if it is still on your counter next year.

An honest fit check

Who this is for. And who it isn't.

Get one if

  • You infuse at least once a month and want the same result every time
  • You are tired of babysitting a pot and straining through cheesecloth
  • You want the batch to stay your business: contained, low odor, on a weeknight
  • You make oils, butters, honeys, or gummies and want one machine for all of it

Skip it if

  • You infuse once or twice a year. A saucepan and a strainer will do, and we would rather say that than sell you something that lives in a cupboard
  • You need four-cup batches every time and will not consider the larger model
  • You want the cheapest listing on the marketplace, full stop. We are not going to win that one and we are not going to try

Pick your machine

Three machines. The same four-step cycle.

The difference is batch size and how much control you want over the pour.

The questions everyone asks

Answered in order of how often we hear them

Isn't this just an expensive slow cooker?

A slow cooker holds a temperature. It does not dry your botanicals, it does not run an activation cycle at a temperature you set, and it does not strain. Those three steps are what decide whether a batch is repeatable, which is the whole reason to own a machine instead of a pot.

Which machine should I get?

The II+ is the everyday pick: single batches up to 16 oz and the full cycle. Choose the C if you routinely make four cups or more. Choose the Lux if you want stainless steel and the most control over the pour. The side-by-side comparison settles it in a minute.

Will my kitchen smell while it runs?

The cycle is sealed while it works, and the II+ adds a coconut-husk carbon filter that controls odor. It is built to be run on a weeknight in an apartment.

How bad is cleanup, honestly?

The stainless Power Pod strains as it dispenses, so there is no cheesecloth stage at all. The pod and reservoir go in the dishwasher. Minutes, not an evening.

Is it worth the price?

Depends how often you infuse, and that is the honest answer. Once a month or more and the per-batch economics turn quickly. Once a year and a saucepan is the right call. Either way there is a year of warranty and thirty days to send it back, so the downside is a return label.

The decision

Being wrong costs a return label.

Thirty days to change your mind and a year of warranty. That is the entire downside. The upside is every batch after this one.
