Magical Butter Recipe: The Best Infused Butter for Cooking
As more than half the population of the United States live in states that have legalized recreational herb, many people have discovered edibles. However, many people who want to make their own edibles may not know they have to prepare the herb before putting it in the recipe, or else it will not unlock the full potential of the flower. Essentially, preparing the hemp is a process of gently heating it up and then infusing it into oil or butter – we call it magical butter because of the elevated feeling it can give to those who consume the magical butter in cookies, gummies, or other edibles.
The process of heating the herb is called decarboxylation, or decarbing. It can be done in a kitchen, or you can invest in a decarboxylation machine that also infuses for you precisely.
Do I need to decarb my flower before making magical butter?
Decarbing is required to get any intoxicating effect from the flower. If you simply put flower that has not been activated into your edible, you will probably not feel any effect from it, but decarbing will optimize the active ingredient that you add to the edibles you make.

Lecithin is an emulsifier that helps oil-based ingredients bind to water-based ingredients. Some people believe that adding lecithin to baked goods also makes them more digestible and easier for your body to absorb the infused hemp (we don't think this has never been proven, but lecithin is sold in the supplement aisle to aid in digestion). The answer to the question is that lecithin is not necessary for magical butter, but it could help make great infused gummies, or anything else that requires water and oil to bind.

This recipe will make one pound (16 oz) of magical butter. Depending upon how much herb you put into that pound, you can bake several potent recipes of edibles.
What recipes can I make with my magical butter?
You are only limited by your imagination! Virtually all baked goods recipes call for butter or oil. You can even infuse olive oil and make salad dressings. Can I make gummies with this magical butter recipe?
Making gummies is a different process than making edible baked goods. Gummies require purchasing LĒVO gummy mix, which will allow you to make candies with infused oil in them. The Recipe! How to Make Magical Butter with LĒVO.
- 7-14 g Coarsely ground dried flower (each pod holds 7g, and you can use 2 pods at once)
- Four sticks of butter (16 ounces or one pound)
Pack the coarsely ground, dried herb into the herb pod. Do not grind too fine, or the herb will seep into the infusion.
Install the pod into the LĒVO, as well as the magnetic stirrer.
Slice your butter sticks, so they fit into the reservoir, then close the lid.
Consult the time and temperature calculator: 170°F degrees, and infusion for 5 hours. Some infüsiasts go up to 10 hours at 160°. This step will result in excellent infused butter.
Dispense the finished butter into a sealable jar. Use the herb press to squeeze as much oil out of the herb in the pod as possible.
Store the magical butter in the refrigerator or the freezer.
